Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

VentusTech Consulting UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Versmannstraße 4, 20457 Hamburg, Germany
Represented by Christian Werner (Managing Partner)
Email: C.Werner@ventustech-consulting.com

2. General Information & Encryption

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses TLS/SSL encryption (recognisable by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar).

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (hosting provider & address to be added). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host’s servers. Hosting is used to fulfil our contractual and pre-contractual obligations towards prospective clients and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online services (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

4. Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for the purpose of technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website.

5. Contact via Form & Email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, the information you provide (name, email address, selected subject and your message) will be processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry. For this purpose, the contact form on this website opens your own email client (mailto procedure); no data is stored directly on this website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (handling of general enquiries). We retain the data until the purpose no longer applies or statutory retention periods expire.

6. Google Fonts

For the uniform display of fonts, this site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google. When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts from servers of Google Ireland Limited; in the process, your IP address is transmitted to Google. This use is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a uniform, appealing presentation). Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

Recommendation: If the fonts are hosted locally on our own server (self-hosting), no data is transmitted to Google and this section can be removed.

7. External Links (e.g. LinkedIn)

Our website contains links to external profiles (including LinkedIn). When you click on such a link, you are redirected to the pages of the respective provider, whose privacy policies apply. Data is only transmitted to these providers when you actively follow the link; no active social media plugins (tracking) are embedded on our site.

8. Cookies & Tracking

This website does not use any tracking, analytics or marketing cookies and does not embed any such third-party services. Only technically necessary processes required to deliver the site are carried out.

9. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. For this purpose, and for any other questions regarding data protection, you can contact us at any time.

10. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
(The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany
datenschutz-hamburg.de
